Kevin Norris joined ProQuest in 2003 and was named Chief People Officer in 2017. In this role, Mr. Norris oversees ProQuest’s people and workplace practices, including management of Human Resources, Facilities and Legal. Since 2004, he has also served as ProQuest’s General Counsel.

Mr. Norris’ career at ProQuest includes leading the company’s Global Content Alliance (GCA) efforts to identify and build lasting relationships with the very best providers of content for its customers. Under his direction, GCA teams helped the thousands of diverse publishers who partner with ProQuest to feature their ongoing full text, archives and metadata in the constantly evolving academic and corporate market segments.

Mr. Norris has vast experience in legal affairs and intellectual property management. Prior to joining ProQuest he was an officer of bigchalk, the K-12 information network, as well as assistant general counsel and director of business development for the national franchisor AAMCO. Previously, he served as assistant general counsel to the international accounting and consulting firm Laventhol & Horwath and spent a number of years in private practice. Mr. Norris holds a JD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and a bachelor's degree in political science from Hampden-Sydney College. He is based in ProQuest’s Ann Arbor office.
