Formerly president and general manager of ebrary®, Kevin Sayar led the company from its conception in 1999 to a position as a leading ebook provider to libraries worldwide. Mr. Sayar was instrumental in building the high-growth business through the development of innovative research technologies such as DASH!™ (Data Sharing, Fast) and InfoTools™ and flexible acquisition models including patron driven acquisition and subscription. He has brokered strategic partnerships with companies such as YBP, which has integrated ebrary within its digital and print book acquisition workflow. He also led the integration of three companies – ebrary, EBL and Coutts Information Services – to create an innovative and market-leading Books business unit within ProQuest.

Mr. Sayar previously worked for Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati (WSGR), considered the U.S. leader in high technology start-up legal representation, and was an independent consultant to several start-up businesses. He holds a J.D. from California Western School of Law and a B.A. in English from the University of California, Berkeley.
