Enhanced technology provides better, faster, and more stable resource connections for Serials Solutions® 360 Search and WebFeat™ federated search services

Serials Solutions has announced a new federated search Connection Development Framework for the Serials Solutions® 360 Search and WebFeat™ federated search services. The connection development framework provides developers with new tools and processes to create better, faster and higher quality connections. For librarians, this means an increased number of resources available by federated search and better search results for patrons.

“This new process is a leap forward,” says Jane Burke, General Manager of Serials Solutions. “We are committed to the advancement of federated search technology for the benefit of librarians and library patrons.”

Using the Connection Development Framework, Serials Solutions is able to more quickly build the highest quality connections to serve both 360 Search and WebFeat, and enhance the library of over 7,000 connections already available in both services.

“Over the years, the developers for WebFeat and 360 Search have fielded many customer requests and used them to improve our federated search technology. Working together, we’ve applied what we’ve learned to create new processes that allow us to develop and maintain superior federated search connections,” says Stephen DiStasio, Product Manager for Serials Solutions.

The Serials Solutions® 360 Search and WebFeat™ Connection Development Framework is currently operational in both federated search services. For more information,  email or call 1-866-SERIALS.
