Growing network of publishers using KnowledgeWorks to improve discoverability

Seattle, WA – July 10, 2009 Electronic publisher Alexander Street Press today announced that it has become a Serials Solutions KnowledgeWorks Certified content provider. Libraries that subscribe to both Serials Solutions and Alexander Street Press online collections can be assured that Alexander Street Press content is presented in the Serials Solutions KnowledgeWorks knowledgebase in the most current and accurate method possible.

“Alexander Street Press joining the KnowledgeWorks Certified provider program is a sign of their commitment to the needs of libraries everywhere.” says Jane Burke, Vice President of Serials Solutions. “We are pleased that Alexander Street Press recognizes the benefits that our premier search and discovery solutions provide libraries and their patrons.”

“Working with the team at Serials Solutions has been very easy,” said Stephen Rhind-Tutt, President of Alexander Street Press. “Their willingness to work with our metadata delivery systems has allowed us to increase discoverability of Alexander Street content.”

The KnowledgeWorks Certified program helps Serials Solutions develop the best possible relationships with content providers. These relationships enable Serials Solutions to maintain the highest quality bibliographic metadata for e-resources in the KnowledgeWorks knowledgebase, which supplies authoritative metadata to Serials Solutions services. Greater collaboration also helps our librarians to more quickly resolve issues if they occur and ensures quality experiences for library patrons.
