Accurate, authoritative filters enable a better research experience for library patrons

Serials Solutions announced today the release of enhanced Full-Text and Peer Review features for the Serials Solutions® 360 Search federated search service. Using a combination of data supplied by the Serials Solutions KnowledgeWorks knowledgebase and the Ulrich’s™ Global Serials Intelligence knowledgebase, these search filters enable users to limit the results of queries to full-text or peer-reviewed sources more reliably than ever before.

"Until now, there hasn’t been a single Full-Text or Peer Review filter on the market that researchers could trust," says Steve DiStasio, Senior Product Manager at Serials Solutions, "Most filters rely solely on data supplied by content providers, which causes inaccuracies. After attempting to make this data work for 360 Search, we’ve instead enhanced the 360 Search filter with better data for better results. This is something only Serials Solutions has the ability to do."

This new functionality is provided free to all 360 Search subscribers. Libraries not already using the Full-Text and Peer Review functionality should contact Serials Solutions for activation. Libraries that already use this feature will see immediate improvements in filtered results.

For more information about 360 Search, other Serials Solutions 360 services, or to activate the enhanced full-text filters at your library, email or call 1-866-SERIALS (737-4257).
