Newly subscribed content available to NHS staff and eligible healthcare students across England

CAMBRIDGE, UK, June 2, 2015 – The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), working in partnership with and on behalf of Health Education England, have signed a three year national license with ProQuest to provide access to a variety of core healthcare databases.  This agreement will enable all NHS staff and eligible healthcare students across England to have access to over 5,000 full text scholarly and professional journals, videos and dissertations within the Hospital Collections portfolio for the next three years.

One of the many elements available to users will be the comprehensive full-text coverage from thousands of credible scholarly journals across hundreds of healthcare related disciplines including medicine, nursing, allied health, psychology, healthcare administration, family management and other complementary areas of research.

In addition to the journals, over 32,000 full-text dissertations will assist health and social care professionals stay abreast of the latest trends and ideas published in their field. Clinical support is available through the curbside consultations, which provide quick answers to the most common questions and invaluable videos provide step-by-step guides for nursing students.

As part of the agreement, the following ProQuest databases will be available: ProQuest Hospital Collection; MEDLINE; British Nursing Index; PsycINFO and PsycARTICLES. All of these databases will deliver valuable content to those training within and conducting research in the healthcare professions.  Authorised users can search and access the nationally licensed journals and databases from the Journals and Databases page at NICE Evidence Search

Within the ProQuest Hospital Collection users will have access to ProQuest Nursing & Allied Health Source, ProQuest Health & Medical Complete, ProQuest Health Management, ProQuest Psychology Journals and ProQuest Family Health databases.
