Each month ProQuest focuses on supporting a different worthy cause which is chosen by our employees. The initiative is centered in and around the corporate headquarters located in Ann Arbor and during the month of August, we focused our good will on our four legged friends. Throughout the month, employees had several opportunities to get involved with the Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV).
Donation bins were placed throughout the office for employees to contribute supplies that were requested by HSHV to help care for the animals. In just a month, more than 300 pounds of dog and cat food was collected along with baskets full of blankets, towels, and toys donated. These items support the Bountiful Bowls program, which helps keep pets in homes and out of the shelter.
Other events held included a visit from HSHV to our office along with a couple of sweet, adoptable pets. They provided helpful information about adopting and fostering rescue animals and educated employees on the Bountiful Bowls program. We had a little fun by holding a pet photo contest where employees submitted a photo of their own pet to be voted on by their colleagues. Pictured is the winner of the pet phot contest, Oliver, submitted by owner Jeff Hanson, who took home the top prize; beating out the competition of over 70 entries received.
Raffle tickets were sold throughout the month in an effort to raise money for HSHV. ProQuest is happy to announce that more than $4,000 was donated to the Humane Society of Huron Valley to help animals in our community! Employees in Ann Arbor also plan to volunteer their time at local animal shelters and look forward to opportunities to continue to support HSHV in the future. ProQuest is proud to partner with the independently run, not-for-profit, public charity and its mission to support the loving, responsible care of every animal in our community.
