With two libraries to cater for their 25,000 students, London South Bank University is committed to delivering essential content for its users in a quick and efficient manner. Meeting users’ research needs is paramount to the University, and as a result they have upgraded to ProQuest Serials Solutions 360 Link from their existing 360 Core subscription.

Claire Parry, Team Manager (Systems, Subscriptions and Licensing) Library and Learning Resources at London South Bank University said, “Fast and reliable access to full-text content is important to our users, and we wanted to provide this in a user-friendly fashion. We chose 360 Link as it is customizable and integrates well with our existing systems. The functionality provided by 360 Link will help us to provide a more efficient service and save our users time and effort.”

360 Link delivers the most accurate, up-to-date results for scholarly academics when they are searching for specific full-text items within databases and journals. This is made possible since the service takes advantage of Serials Solutions comprehensive knowledgebase to deliver the highest number of links and the most accurate links, even if an ISSN is missing or a journal title is incorrect.

360 Link also bridges the gap between internal and external resources through custom linking to services – such as RefWorks, WorldCat and ILL services – while also operating with integrated library systems, and incorporating resources such as Google Scholar, PubMed, and others. The extensive customization will prove useful for London South Bank University, as they already have a subscription to RefWorks.
