Ulrichsweb subscribers are taking advantage of a new “full text sources” advanced search index to improve acquisitions and save time. This new feature saves time when trying to identify serials in full text sources, drill into title and publisher details, and run quick comparisons between full text sources and abstract and indexing (A&I) sources.

Requested by users and now a part of their Ulrichsweb subscription, the advanced search option makes precision searching easier through filtering and faceting, so users can find, identify and learn more about the journals, magazines Open Access publications, and other periodicals in full-text aggregations. As a result, users can identify gaps in coverage and titles in common between full-text sources and between full-text sources and abstracting and indexing (A&I) sources.

The key to the development of this advanced search feature is the indexing of two core knowledgebases – the bibliographic and A&I availability data from Ulrich’s and full-text availability data from Serials Solutions® knowledgeworks.
