ProQuest has developed Research Companion from the beginning with user input... and we continue to improve and add features based on user feedback. Check out what's new and in place for school to begin again:

1.    Assessment – You asked for it. Now you have it.  Assessment questions are available for every video of every module of ProQuest Research Companion. Educators can enable “pre” and “post”-type assessment to evaluate their students’ understanding of core information literacy principles.

Assessment questions will be displayed automatically whenever a user has created an account and is logged in.

2.    Standards correlations – Simply click on the “Standards” link in the bottom left and see correlations between specific Learning Modules and both ACRL Information Literacy and Common Core State standards.

3.    Google/Google Scholar toggle – This brand new customization feature allows educators to configure the Search Aid for Google Scholar. Of course, they can also still configure this tool for their library catalog or (in most cases) their discovery service.

4.    Video Embedding simplified – Now embed codes for all videos can be generated simply by clicking on the “Embed this video” link below the video player (no need to log in as an admin). If you want to embed multiple videos at once, just click on the “Embed custom playlist” link.
