ProQuest provides access to the deepest and broadest variety of content solutions, supported with technologies that keep libraries at the center of research success. With ALA Annual approaching, we want to let you know the events where ProQuest subject matter experts are sharing how the company is elevating the research experience.

Bowker, a ProQuest affiliate, is one of the sponsors for the NISO BISG Forum: Changing Standards Landscape, happening on Friday, June 26, where attendees will have the opportunity to hear from Franny Lee, co-founder of ProQuest’s recent acquisition, SIPX. Creator of a unique digital course materials solution, the start-up company addresses a variety of copyright and costs concerns for universities. Franny will describe this increasingly popular solution and more in her presentation, The challenges of providing course content to non-traditional students.

Marshall Breeding, creator and editor of Library Technology Guides, is hosting a panel of CEOs of library tech organizations on Saturday, June 27. The panel discussion sponsored by LITA, Executive Perspectives: A Conversation on the Future of the Library Technology Industry, is expected to foster stimulating conversation among some of the influencers of the industry. Kurt Sanford, CEO, ProQuest, will be among the participants of the panel, along with CEOs from Innovative, SirsiDynix, OCLC, and The Library Corporation.

At this year’s Exhibits Round Table (ERT) on Saturday, June 27, Eddie Neuwirth, Product Manager Lead for ProQuest, and Darren Poley, Scholarly Outreach Librarian & Programming Team Leader at Villanova University, will be co-presenting "Facilitating the sharing and discovery of your university’s scholarly output with the world." They will discuss best practices for making their institution, researchers and their scholarly output more discoverable to the world and how a new, customizable web solution from ProQuest can help bring the power of discovery to research that is happening at their own campus.

Susan Bokern, ProQuest, Vice President of Product Management has been invited to participate on a panel discussion hosted by ACRL-WESS on how vendor aggregators acquire Europe-focused content from publishers or other content providers. On Sunday, June 28, Susan, along with Olivia Humphrey, Kanopy Founder and CEO, and Stephen Rind-Tutt, Alexander Street Press CEO, will share the experiences and challenges faced by aggregator companies when acquiring Europe-focused content. The discussion will focus on how librarians can help aggregators shape their acquisitions efforts, identify content and help create partnerships among publishers, libraries, archives and other content providers.

We hope that you take the time to participate in many of the informative presentations taking place during the conference and look forward to connecting with you at ALA Annual 2015!
