Intota, as a true “library services platform," is being deployed in phases. Rather than requiring a big migration initially, we decided that we would first deploy the services that the academic or research library does not have in their traditional ILS. This strategy provides the library with the two most identified needs – assessment and e-resource management.
Following that strategy, we commercially deployed what we are calling “Intota v1” on June 30, 2014. Intota v1 is a bundle of services on the library services platform, including:
• 360 Link
• E-resource management
Intota v1 has been a tremendous success. Between July 1, 2014, and March 31, 2015, 49 libraries have committed to Intota v1. These libraries are in addition to our development and beta partners.
Intota v1 includes a completely new implementation of e-resource management. This is an application that incorporates lots of new features (based on feedback from 360 Resource Manager customers) as well as automated workflows, such as alerts, renewal checklists, etc. It also includes programmatic management of DDA “selection pool” titles, without requiring batch loading of MARC records.
Intota Assessment (which was released in late 2013) has been integrated into Intota v1, with data being passed between e-resource management and assessment. Intota Assessment includes all of the capabilities of 360 Counter, as well as extensive reporting on print resources.
Summon and 360 Link have also been integrated into Intota v1. Intota v1 includes new integration capabilities from the e-resource management functions to Summon and 360 Link. The biggest of these is the DDA automation, which automatically activates e-book records in Summon directly from the Knowledgebase. This eliminates MARC record “round tripping” and makes DDA titles available to users more quickly.
Customers of the 360 series are still able to use those services, as individual point solutions. However, libraries choosing to move to Intota v1 do not have to “re-implement,” because we have created programs to move all of their existing data seamlessly to the new services.
Nearly 50 libraries have chosen to implement Intota v1, including:

All of these libraries have been, or are, being implemented during the past nine months. A number of them are in full production, with all elements of Intota v1. All of them are continuing to use their existing ILS.
Several libraries are also committed to what we have called “full Intota," which is the release of Intota that allows a library to displace its legacy ILS. Today we are calling that “Intota v2." Intota v2 is currently in development. All of the libraries committed to Intota v2 also have or are implementing Intota v1.
