In the coming weeks, the ProQuest platform will be undergoing a series of upgrades, one of the most important of which is the migration of the platform to a cloud-based infrastructure. These infrastructure changes will occur automatically and require no updates to your backend systems.
There will be no change to the functionality and access to your ProQuest platform databases. Due to some updates in search components, end-users sorting by relevancy may experience a change in result order after the infrastructure upgrade.
These changes will begin on July 9th and end the week of August 8th.
To prepare for the infrastructure upgrade, ProQuest will be taking a two-hour maintenance window on July 9th from 10:00 PM ET to 12:00 AM ET. During this time access to the ProQuest platform will not be available. Additional details on this window can be found here. Subsequent upgrades will occur without service interruption. These upgrades will occur automatically, and require no changes to your backend systems.

Updated June 17, 2016

In the coming weeks, as part of our commitment to bring you continually enhanced technologies, the ProQuest platform (search.proquest.com) will be undergoing a series of upgrades, one of the most important of which is the migration of the platform to a high-availability cloud-based infrastructure. These infrastructure changes will occur automatically and require no updates to your backend systems.

There will be no change to the functionality of or access to your ProQuest platform databases. Due to some updates in search technology, end-users—particularly those who conduct recurring, highly complex searches—may notice a change in result order after the infrastructure upgrade.

When the move to a cloud-based infrastructure is complete, the platform will be much more scalable, with less downtime taken for maintenance windows and improved reliability. In addition, the cloud will provide the foundation for ProQuest to build a modern search API.

Customer impact

These changes will not impact the ProQuest Dialog platform.

Customers will be upgraded in groups beginning on July 9th and ending the week of August 8th. ProQuest support staff are available to answer your questions throughout this period.

To prepare for the infrastructure upgrade, ProQuest will be taking a two-hour maintenance window on July 9th from 10:00 PM ET to 12:00 AM ET. During this time, access to the ProQuest platform will not be available. Additional details on this window can be found here.
