The recording session for Bjork's second solo album, which took place in the Bahamas in late 1994, was an irregular affair. The Icelander and her team were booked into Compass Point Studios in Nassau, although Bjork taped her guide vocals using a small, hand- held microphone while sitting on the beach or paddling in the dazzling surf. "I'd go running into the water and no one would see where I went," she told one journalist. The recordings were pulled into shape back in London and Post (so named because it was post- Debut, her first album) was released in June 1995, wrapped in a photo of the singer taken by her former lover, Stephane Sednaoui.
