Chief Financial Officer, ProQuest, LLC

Phil Evans joined ProQuest in April 2009 as Chief Financial Officer, having previously served as CFO of R.R. Bowker, a sister company, since July 2008. Mr. Evans oversees all of the company's financial functions, including financial operations, accounting, procurement, facilities and investor relations.

Mr. Evans has more than 25 years of experience in finance and accounting. Prior to joining Bowker, he was the CFO of a privately owned publishing company and before that spent 16 years with the Reed Elsevier organization in various financial positions in the United Kingdom and U.S. Notable roles included CFO of Martindale-Hubbell, a division of LexisNexis (2001-2006) and Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis and Controller of LexisNexis in Dayton (1997-2001). Prior to LexisNexis, Mr. Evans held several finance positions in the corporate headquarters of Reed Elsevier, including Corporate Finance Manager and Tax Manager. In his early career he trained as a UK chartered accountant and worked for seven years in public accounting in London, the last four with Ernst & Young.

Mr. Evans is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and graduated from the University of Lancaster in England with a B.A. (Honors) in Accounting & Finance.
