ANN ARBOR, Mich., January 3, 2008 - ProQuest now offers Corporate PressDisplayTM, a new specialized product from NewspaperDirect, a world leader in digital delivery of same-day newspapers and magazines from around the world. Corporate PressDisplay allows corporate librarians to deliver customized news services directly to executives' and information specialists' desktops or preferred mobile device "ProQuest is committed to delivering products that strengthen the library's role as the superior resource for news," said Rod Gauvin, senior vice president of publishing for ProQuest. "Corporate PressDisplay expands the reach of the corporate library to provide anyone within the organization, from administrators to CEOs, with a customizable news service that's far superior to anything found on the open Web." Corporate PressDisplay is a digital daily newspaper collection that offers more than 450 titles from around the world, which may be viewed in their original format using a standard Web browser or through a BlackBerry, iPhone or smart mobile device (with or without an audio function). Unlike websites of newspapers, which typically provide only selected stories from the printed publication, Corporate PressDisplay presents a digital, interactive replica of the paper's original print format. "With Corporate PressDisplay, organizations can provide employees with access to complete coverage of hundreds of global newspapers, rather than only a handful of print papers -- enabling instant access to business-critical news at the office, at home or while traveling around the world," said Alexander Kroogman, CEO of NewspaperDirect. "At the same time, Corporate PressDisplay offers businesses an environmentally-friendly alternative to the printed newspapers." Corporate PressDisplay's variety of features and navigation tools make it easy for users to find and read articles of interest. Smart Navigation titles offer instant translations in up to 12 languages and a powerful keyword monitoring feature, allowing global executives to keep tabs on news around the world - no matter the language barriers. To translate an article, users simply open an article in text view and choose the language they want to read it in. Users can also choose single-page or two-page views, duplicating the feel of a printed newspaper's "spread". Corporate PressDisplay also includes customized home pages, bookmarking and up to a 90-day archive. Its expanded newspaper collection includes The Miami Herald, El Nuevo Herald, Philadelphia Inquirer, The Kansas City Star, The Charlotte Observer, and Albuquerque Journal. Corporate PressDisplay is one of four on-site delivery methods offered by NewspaperDirect and distributed by ProQuest. NewspaperDirect's Print-on-Demand and ND Press services offer more than 600 newspaper titles in an 11"x17"/A3, black & white or color version (identical in every respect, but size, to the newspaper's own print edition). ND Press offers the additional flexibility of printing newspapers in a variety of sizes. NewspaperDirect assembles electronic feeds from its publishers 24 hours a day, and enables a library to automatically download and print selected titles in the library, providing immediate access to the day's editions. PressDisplayTM, Print-on-Demand and ND Press are available exclusively from ProQuest in the North American public library and education markets.
