The Annual Reports collection contains annual reports of U.S. Fortune 500 Industrials and Fortune 50 Non-Industrials. From the first reports filed before the turn of the century to 1987, these corporate communications to stockholders provide researchers with hard facts put into context with charts, photographs, and the messages from management that make up a company's total fiscal presentation.

The base collection was filmed from files gathered by Harvard University's Baker Library. Corporations selected were those with top sales as rated by Fortune Magazine.

Annual Reports covers the chronology of major companies--in many cases from the first annual report released, such as General Motors, 1911; Coca-Cola, 1920; and Republic Steel, 1900. After 1973, additional reports have been filmed with the cooperation of the corporations involved. The collection contains:

• the complete collection of reports from Fortune 500 companies, 1974-1987
• the complete set of reports from 142 major U.S. corporations as far back as 1891 (A title list is available upon request.)
