The periodicals catalogue, a complete inventory of all periodicals, Spanish and foreign, received by the National Library to June 1990, contains records for 35,000 newspapers, annuals, almanacs, official gazettes, technical and professional journals and association bulletins.

Publication of the catalogue on microfiche opens up to researchers everywhere the largest collection of Spanish periodicals in existence.
