Genealogy and Local History

This collection assembles and preserves genealogies, local histories, primary source materials, and genealogical and local history serials. Genealogy and Local History encompasses materials related to all 50 states and Canada as well as Great Britian, Ireland and many other countries of immigration to North America, making it an unprecedented resource and a major preservation project.
UMI releases three units per year, adding approximately 1,500 titles to the collection annually. Each unit follows a carefully structured format and is accompanied by a printed guide providing access by fiche number, title, family name, geographic area, and subject. MARC records are available for all units. For the benefit of individual researchers, single titles are available.
