Venice Biennale, Publications of the 1895 - 1977

One of the great cultural institutions of Western Europe, the Venice Biennale has published many hundreds of monographs, catalogues and periodicals on art, music, theatre and cinema documenting changes in artistic expression and popular taste from its founding in 1895 to the 1970s. Many of these works are extremely scarce today.
This microfiche edition makes available for the first time all the significant Biennale publications which few, if any, libraries have in the original. Together these publications provide one of the most comprehensive records of contemporary art, music, theatre and cinema ever to be published in Europe.
