Yugoslavia: Peoples, States, and Society

Forming a unique body of primary research material focused on the history and culture of the Yugoslav peoples, this collection contains pamphlets and short monographs, which, as an organized corpus of research material, are not available elsewhere, including Yugoslavia.
The collection, spanning the medieval period through World War II, ranges from scholarly studies to essays, reminiscences, and commentaries by some of the participants in the events reflecting the turbulent history of the lands that until recently comprised Yugoslavia and other Balkan states. The collection also includes information on the relationships between the states and Austria-Hungary as well as other European powers.
