An ambitious and far-reaching project that puts 500 years of German poetry online, Die Deutsche Lyrik gathers works from the 15th century right up to the beginning of the 20th century. No other single collection contains this volume or breadth of German poetry in electronic format.

With material illustrating the development of German literature and language, this database allows the user to examine the influences of poetry, politics, literary theory, and philosophy.

The database also includes the texts of a number of anthologies that increase the scope and the range of the resource and put lesser-known authors into context.

Published in cooperation with Philipp Reclam jun., Stuttgart, Die Deutsche Lyrik covers all volumes of German poetry published within Reclams Universalbibliothek since 1945.
