Tulpehocken - Virginia Notes, compiled by Joseph M. Kellogg. These notes, from both published and original material, were the results of an investigation into the background history of a number of German families who were settled quite early in the region of the South Branch of the Potomac River, in what later became Hardy and Pendleton Counties, West Virginia. Data about these people is traced backward through early records of Augusta and Hampshire counties, to the Tulpehocken district of eastern Pennsylvania, and from thence to the Palatine settlements at Schoharie and the banks of the Hudson in New York, and their arrival there in 1709-10.Publ. 1945. 308p. 7 fiche. |
