ProQuest Participates in “Protect Michigan Libraries Rally”
Librarians, library advocates, government officials and concerned citizens gathered at the Michigan State Capital in September to urge legislators to maintain the current $10 million in local library funding for the upcoming budget year. Potential budget cuts threaten critical electronic resources used for research, education purposes, job seeking and job preparation – key components in helping Michigan transition to a knowledge-based economy.
