"When ProQuest Information and Learning and CSA merged, we discovered our most compelling common value was a deep and abiding commitment to serving libraries and librarians," said Marty Kahn, CEO of ProQuest. "I'm pleased that ProQuest will carry on the legacy of these leading information companies by helping prepare future librarians."

As part of this program, RefWorks, a sister organization of ProQuest, has also made their Web-based research management, writing, and collaboration tool available for in-class instruction.
The complimentary subscriptions will be available to library school students and faculty. Library schools that reside on a campus with four or more ProQuest databases are eligible to receive a classroom sampler of microfilm newspaper/research collections, and electronic versions of film subject catalogs.
In addition to providing reference tools, ProQuest will make its professional training team available for on-site and/or remote training to classes utilizing these products. Many members of the training team hold an MLS or MLIS degree and all have extensive industry experience, making them valuable resources who can speak to students about careers in electronic publishing.
ProQuest is beginning enrollment for August 1, 2007 - July 31, 2008. For more information, visit: www.csa.com/libschool.
