This microfilm edition of the William Ellery Channing Papers consists of the personal correspondence and writings of this famous Unitarian clergyman, literary critic, author, and leading spokesman for liberal religious thought in his generation.
Of special interest to scholars and historians are Channing's correspondence and links to other notable persons and families whose papers are part of the Massachusetts Historical Society series, including: Nathan Appleton, Samuel Cabot, Hugh Upham Clark, Caroline H. Dall, Josiah Quincy, and the Winthrop family.
