These catalogues are the most comprehensive listing of British government publications available to scholars - a complete list (with indexes) for a period of over seventy-five years. The catalogues were considered ephemera when originally published and few libraries have a complete set, although many of the publications listed in them are still available.
This reprint is therefore of prime importance to acquisition departments, as well as to reference and government publication librarians.
The original text has been reproduced in reduced format facsimile by high-quality photolithography. The reduced text is eye-legible, but for the convenience of readers a magnifying glass can be supplied.
The catalogues for the period 1894-1919 are republished on microfiche.
