This collection stems from the Institute of Oriental Studies, Moscow, and includes three serials from Afghanistan. These publications cover the period of Russian presence as well as CIA activity in Afghanistan.

Kabul, 1931-1984; monthly political magazine in Pashto, 35 reels.

Kabul, 1946-1983; monthly magazine on history and literature in Pashto, 14 reels.

The titles, available individually or as a complete set, compose a valuable resource for students or scholars investigating Afghan events and daily life and the period and political events leading up to current events in Afghanistan and the region.
