Overview

Minutes of the 12th Congressional Session of the Supreme Soviet of the Republic of Belarus. The work of the 12th Congressional Session closely reflected major political events in Belarus: the country’s independence in 1991, the adoption of the new Constitution in 1994, introduction of a number of new bills and resolutions, etc. This collection, covering the minutes of the 12th Congress, includes 730 issues of published transcripts from the personal archives of Aleg Trusau, a well known Belarusian politician, historian and one of the leaders of the Belarusian Social-Democratic movement. Of special interest are transcripts of the speeches of A.G. Lukashenko.
