Overview

The census reports of the Western European nations contain a vast quantity of different types of demographic information. In the past, access to these reports has been hindered both by the difficulty of obtaining them and the necessity of knowing the language of publication.

The problem of access has been overcome by bringing these reports together in a microfiche program based on Blake and Donovan‘s Western European Censuses, 1960, An English Language Guide on 1 fiche. The microfiche program includes all the titles listed in the guide - 74 titles for 22 countries. The guide provides a compendium in English of the contents of the censuses and serves as an index to the program.
