Friedrich Schiller's (1759-1805) literary works, his writings on history, and his philosophical and critical works have been extremely influential. Schillers Werke comprises the whole of the Nationalausgabe, the finest and most complete critical edition of his works, letters, and conversations.
Schillers Werke currently includes 46 volumes, with further volumes added to the Web edition. The complete text of each volume will be available, including all illustrations, notes, variants, and indexes. The critical apparatus includes notes on sources as well as on the genesis of the works and their subsequent influence on German literature.
