Select newspapers, such as major titles, are also available on microfiche and 16mm microfilm. Backfiles of most newspapers are available in silver microfilm only. Vesicular microform is available for all current subscriptions, with the exception of newspapers ordered on "negative polarity, non-silver microform", which are produced on diazo. Polarity: All titles are available in either positive or negative polarity on silver film and positive polarity on non-silver film (see also notes above about Format and Film Type). Quality: UMI's microform images are taken directly from the original printed pages, so you always get the clearest possible image. However, in the case of some older newspapers in our serials program, copy quality cannot be guaranteed. |
