Ex Libris solutions will help the library expand services for academic staff and students and integrate student workflows via a fully cloud-based platform

LONDON, UK, March 29, 2018 – Ex Libris®, a ProQuest company, is pleased to announce that the United Kingdom’s University of Wolverhampton has selected the Ex Libris Alma® library services platform, Primo® discovery and delivery solution, and LegantoTM course reading list solution. The university library will be migrating from the Capita Alto library management system and integrating the Leganto solution with Wolverhampton’s virtual learning environment and student portal to improve pathways to course readings.

Wolverhampton plans to take advantage of the solutions’ sophisticated analytics to optimize the library collections so that they will better support the needs of the students and academic staff, while integrated workflows will increase library efficiency. The openness of the Ex Libris solutions will also enable the library to implement radio-frequency identification technology, thereby increasing self-service for printed materials, streamlining library tasks, and enabling the library to extend its opening hours.

Wolverhampton Content and Scholarly Communications Manager Mike Dainton said, “Having listened to student feedback on the learning resources that we provide, we are confident that investment in a new digital library system including Ex Libris Alma, Primo, and Leganto will completely transform the university’s library services. By providing a state-of-the-art, cloud-based library service platform, we can ensure that students are accessing the most recent and relevant reading material and offer them a seamless user experience. Ultimately, this investment will provide students with a responsive library service that recognizes the need to constantly adapt to changing learning, teaching, and research practices.”

Ofer Mosseri, corporate vice president and general manager of Ex Libris EMEA, said, “We are delighted that the University of Wolverhampton has selected the Alma, Primo, and Leganto services for this important project. Our solutions will help the library team make significant contributions to the University of Wolverhampton’s teaching, learning, and research.”
