ProQuest continues to support the United Way Washtenaw County by participating in the United Way National Day of Action on Friday, June 20, 2014. The day, also known as the longest day of the year given the hours of daylight, started as the National Day of Caring and has since transformed to the National Day of Action; inspiring people to volunteer time and get involved in helping the community.

“ProQuest has been volunteering and giving to the United Way for over 50 years” shares Donna Vann, who annually organizes ProQuest’s involvement in the day of action. “It’s nice to help out the community and continue the tradition.” This year, ProQuest was assigned by the United Way Washtenaw County to help the Catholic Services organization where 30 employees volunteered to spend the day performing outdoor and yard work for senior citizens in Washtenaw County. The assistance ranged from cleaning, painting, planting, weeding and landscaping several seniors’ homes.

Along with other caring volunteers, ProQuest employees were part of the 210 volunteers who mobilized their compassionate spirit to help a total of 23 local nonprofit agencies throughout Washtenaw County for the National Day of Action 2014. ProQuest is committed to improving our communities because together we can all be part of the solution.
