The new Reader is launching on ebrary the week of August 4.  Be on the lookout for an email with the specific date for this transition at your institution.

We will be rolling out the Reader in waves to our existing customers and are currently sending email notifications about the week each institution will upgrade. After that date, patrons will have an improved reading experience when they use ebrary. There is no account migration necessary.

More about the new Reader:

-- Built entirely with user input – Researchers worked with us to perfect the Reader and the user experience.
-- Uses modern web technology – We designed it to meet the expectations of our next-generation library patrons – simple, intuitive and streamlined.
-- Enables researchers to access the content they need anywhere, anytime – meeting the growing desire for content accessibility on their mobile devices.

The new Reader was designed with both laptop and tablet usage in mind. So we are evolving our mobile experience to use the popular Bluefire app for offline reading on iOS (iPad and iPhone) and Android devices. This means we are retiring ebrary’s dedicated mobile apps on August 4. However, patrons don’t need to wait until then to switch to Bluefire – they may use it today to download ebrary books to a mobile device.

For training and resources:

-- View a slide presentation - For a quick overview of the new Reader
-- Register for a training session  - To help libraries prepare for these exciting enhancements  we are offering a number of training sessions with various dates presented by our training      team to explain the new Reader functionality.
Download a banner for your website - Share the great news about the new Reader with patrons and faculty once your upgrade is complete!
-- New LibGuide is available, and training videos will be posted on the ProQuest YouTube channel.
