The pandemic made home-based businesses more common than ever, but I've been running Creative Minds Publications, an award-winning publishing company, from my home for more than a decade. Since creativity, strong writing skills, and marketing strategies are some of the most essential factors in my business, I knew that the flexibility of a home-based business would be the best thing for me. Prior to starting my business, I was an inner-city elementary school teacher and reading specialist. My company has allowed me to use my expertise in literacy education by leading the literacy consulting arm of my publishing company.
A Work from Home Schedule
When I'm not in a school providing job-embedded literacy consulting, I'm working from home working from home. Every single day is different but is based around reading, writing, and teaching.
