FANNY, 42, is the lover of a drug dealer. She reads Tarot cards and has two children. Her daughter will not visit her.
LETICIA, 40, is a prostitute from La Merced. She is a repeat-offender, sentenced for murder.
MARINA, 33, is a ''mule''--a drug-smuggler who transports the merchandise in her body. She has been ruled mentally unfit.
SUSANA, 21, lives in jail with her four-year-old daughter--the result of a rape.
ANDREA, 35, is serving the longest sentence. The jail is her home. She is a lesbian.
THE MUTE, 20, listens but has trouble speaking. She shines shoes for a living.
THE WARDEN, 30-40, is confined also--by her job. She is attracted to Leticia.
PATRICIA, 45, is a cross-dresser who worships her pimp--a mariachi.
THE NURSE, any age, enjoys the power she holds over others.
ROBERTO, 40, is Marina's lover. He is a ''mule-driver,'' responsible for the both drugs and the ''mules'' he secretly watches over.
CRONUS is the old god of Time. He is trapped in a toilet.
PASIPHAE is the wife of Minos. She had a love affair with a bull and gave birth to the Minotaur.
ARIADNE is the daughter of Minos and Pasiphae. She saved Theseus from the Minotaur by giving him a ball of thread which he unwound to show him the way out of the Labyrinth.
