A MAN slugged taxpayers with a $50,000 damage bill after he used a blowtorch to steal money from two train ticket machines.
But Brian Arthur Wyman, 41, who currently only receives a fortnightly payment of $1000 in government benefits, will not have to pay back a cent for the damage.
Wyman, who went on a four-month crime spree after a drug relapse, pleaded guilty to 52 charges in Southport Magistrates Court yesterday, including wilful damage and stealing.
