Abstract

Understories: The Political Life of Forests in Northern New Mexico by Jake Kosek is reviewed. Kosek reveals an innovative perspective on forest politics that is both engaging and compelling. It becomes clear why Kosek chose New Mexico for his field, where a multiplicity of complex and opposing meanings of nature coexist in the same space.
