In this thesis, we consider the moduli space of holomorphic curves of genus g with s punctures, where $s>0$ and $2g+s>0.$ We describe how to compute, in principle, the homology of a compactification of this space from the associated category of fatgraphs. We also perform this computation, in part, for the case that $g=2$ and $s=1.$
