The rise of French Christian Democracy-------From The Enlightenment to First World War

Abstract

Christian Democracy is one of important political strength in France, playing an important role in the French political arena. This text tried to discuss the reason of French Christian Democracy’s rise simply. This work selected the period from The Enlightenment to World War I, because French Christian Democracy in the embryonic stage at that time, the rise of the Christian Democracy is a prove of Toynbee’s theory . This text is divided into two parts: Introduce the main thought of the Christian Democracy firstly. Secondly, the text discussed three reasons of Christian Democracy’s rise. First, the political upheaval. Secondly, economic modernization and the society antinomy. finally, Christian spirit. Key words: Christian Democracy Rise Reason

基督教民主主义作为法国重要的政治力量之一，在法国政坛扮演着重要的角色。本文试对法国基督教民主主义的兴起做一个简单的论述。本文选取从启蒙运动到第一次世界大战这一时间段，因为，这一时期是基督教民主主义的婴儿时期，基督教民主主义的兴起很好得验证了汤因比的挑战与应战理论。 本文分为两个部分：首先介绍基督教民主主义的主要思想。其次论述基民主义在法国兴起的原因，本文作三个方面的论述，首先从十九世纪法国社会的政治剧变和政教关系的变化作探讨，其次经济的现代化和社会矛盾的激化对基督教民主主义兴起的作用，最后基督教内在精神对基督教民主主义萌芽的影响。 关键词：基督民主主义 兴起 原因
