Abstract

The purpose of the present study is to provide an understanding of the correlates of the length of sentence for a cyber crime. Using data from the Internet Crime Complaint Center, this study revealed several unique results. The results show that three measures increase the sentence length (i.e., a conviction of identity theft, fraud, and destruction of property). These results are not present in the empirical literature. We discuss the implications of these results. [PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]
