Abstract
(Marketwire - Aug. 22, 2012) - The Calgary Parking Authority (CPA) is launching Text to Park, a faster and more convenient way to start and end a parking session in Calgary. Customers can use the new feature to pay for parking on-street in ParkPlus zones, and in CPA parkades and surface lots. To use Text to Park, ParkPlus cell phone account customers text the four-digit ParkPlus zone number to 77587 (PPLUS).
-- There are 1,142 ParkPlus parking zones. -- There are over 43,997 ParkPlus cell phone accounts with over 63,000 unique cell phone numbers and 71,000 vehicle license plates on file. -- In 2011, 77 per cent of ParkPlus cell phone account holders called back to get a refund of unused time. This resulted in $3.5 M credited back.
