WALES' world champion Nathan Cleverly has embraced Andrew Flintoff's boxing aspirations and even offered to spar with him.
Ex-England cricket star Flintoff caused a commotion yesterday by announcing that he is going to have a crack at professional boxing.
The 34-year-old former all-rounder is planning to fight in a heavyweight bout in Manchester on November 30, although he must first be granted a licence by the British Boxing Board of Control.
And WBO light-heavyweight champion Cleverly said: "It's obviously quite late in his career to take up boxing but if he fancies it then go for it.
"If he wants to get aggression out after finishing playing cricket then good for him, and it's good for the profile of boxing too having such a name involved in the sport.
"It will be difficult as he is coming into the sport so late, but his sporting background will help him.
"But boxing is totally different to what he has experienced in the past with punches coming at you from all angles.
"He'd be more than welcome...
