DEMONIC zombie cats, men turning into chickens and mermaids washed up at Coolum Beach.
These twisted comedy plots have all come from the brain of Daley Pearson.
Pearson, 27, put his warped sense of humour into words for his new ABC series The Strange Calls.
Set in Coolum Beach, the show looks at how the quiet coastal town can turn a little loopy after dark.
And Toby Banks, the disgraced city cop knows all too well about the strange late-night occurrences that can only be blamed on Mount Coolum.
Banks is put on the police graveyard shift based at a derelict caravan at the outskirts of town.
Gregor is the local crackpot who knows everyone and everything in Coolum.
He makes it his personal mission to team with Banks to get to the bottom of the strange happenings and the strange calls.
Pearson has crafted the episode as mini features and stand-alone episodes.
His humour shines in the series, with friends and family...
