NATHAN Cleverly has taken the biggest gamble of his career by swapping home comforts for a fight Stateside.
Cleverly had been due to make the fourth defence of his WBO light-heavyweight crown against the big-hitting Ukrainian Vyacheslav Uzelkov at Cardiff Motorpoint Arena on October 27.
But the show was scrapped as Cleverly decided to make his mark on the other side of the pond, against the unbeaten Ryan Coyne at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on November 10.
It's certainly a big call by Team Cleverly as the 'Irish Outlaw' from Missouri is a talented southpaw and sure to give Nathan a big test on his American debut.
As far as Nathan is concerned I can see why he's taken the fight, this is the perfect opportunity on a big world title bill...
