Abstract

The present paper is a characterization of the civil procedural law in a historical context for presenting your concept and its scope, as well as a revision of a legal tradition in where he founded its roots and to be able to shape their perspectives. The text have two moments for the review, the first being a State of the art that aims at giving an account of the most significant studies on the evolution of the procedural doctrine in Latin America and in Colombia, secondly an approximation to the central concepts of the theory civil procedure.
