THE Prince of Wales introduced himself as "Nambawan pikinini bilong misis kwin" - the number one child belonging to Mrs Queen - yesterday as he tried his hand at speaking pidgin English during a visit to Papua New Guinea.
His efforts were met with applause by thousands who had gathered to catch a glimpse of the Prince and the Duchess of Cornwall at a welcoming ceremony.
The royal couple are visiting the Pacific nation as part of their two-week Diamond Jubilee tour of Australasia.
