DAVID Jones chairman Bob Savage dropped a bombshell late yesterday by announcing he would quit the company two years early and less than 24 hours before today's annual meeting.
Mr Savage, who has been chairman of DJs since 2003, last year pledged that he would serve out the rest of his term as chairman, which was not due to expire until 2014.
But in a statement released to the Australian Securities Exchange, Mr Savage said he would retire both as chairman and a non-executive director at the end of December, when he would hand the reins to deputy...
