Beneath a Petroliferous Moon

This exhibit takes its name from a Pablo Neruda poem called "Standard Oil Co.," which foresaw the rampant global impact of the petroleum industry more than 70 years ago. Yet just as any slick of oil contains a patch of rainbow, the Mendel gallery's aim is to add some playfulness and beauty to an otherwise ugly situation.
